Annie Penn Hospital always has one of the most creative campaigns around! This year is no exception.

Their kickoff celebration on September 26th hosted a "Be A Hero" theme.  Participants enjoyed a bake sale, games, lunch, and give-aways. The big hit this year was the early bird drawing for those who designated their giving to United Way of Rockingham County by the end of the day-long kickoff celebration. Congratulations to Irma Cunningham and John Kubecka who each won a flat-screen TV!

But that's not all the fun! For those departments who have 100% giving, department managers will have the fine privilege of kissing a pig at the close of the campaign. That also goes for the new hospital President, Mickey Foster, and our own United Way Executive Director, Rick Hurley! Everyone will be sure to enjoy the laughs!

Once again Annie Penn Hospital is a Pacesetter campaign, which means they agreed to start their campaign before our kickoff and increase their giving. And they are off to a great start! Already, they have a record number of donors and cash for Annie Penn's United Way Kickoff!. Here is where they are in the campaign as of August 30:

Campaign goal: $40,000--

• 276 pledges have been made so far!
• 80 fair share donors so far!
• $28,909.99 has been pledged so far!
• $1,173.75 has been raised in doughnut and baked goods sales!
• $30,083.74 has been raised so far!!!
